Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 1 for a unique opportunity to show some love to Jupiter at the Jupiter Beach Clean-Up. This event, run in conjunction with the Friends of Jupiter Beach, aims at removing trash from Jupiter’s famous dog beach, to help preserve the natural environment while keeping the beach safe and open for our four-legged friends.
Friends of Jupiter Beach was started in 1994 when a group of concerned citizens mobilized to clean the beach and provide dog waste bags. The group holds beach cleanups monthly and has partnered with the Town for its March event. Learn more about how you can help out and get involved with the event at www.jupiter.fl.us/Centennial.
With the Town’s official birthday falling in February, there are plenty of events to fall in love with in the weeks ahead. The month is kicked off by Jupiter Jubilee, the Town’s birthday party on February 8.
The Jupiter Branch Library will offer several events, including a history presentation on Jupiter’s African American Heritage on February 28. At Town Hall, the Town will host the second in its series of history presentations, this one titled “Where Land Meets Legacy: Jupiter’s Natural History.”
