We are so incredibly fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places, with an abundance of places that we can share with our loved ones, and our dogs. The majority of our beaches, so many of our parks, and of course, lots of the outdoor restaurant offerings, are also dog-friendly to well-behaved dogs.
One of my favorite things to do is take my dog to Marshals or Home Goods, and let them pick out a bone or toy, and then head over to the beach.
Here are a few more spots and ideas to consider
1. Jupiter Dog Beach
Jupiter is home to one of Florida’s few remaining dog-friendly beaches. The designated off-leash area spans a 2.5-mile stretch from beach marker #26 at Marcinski Road north to beach marker #57 at the Carlin Park property line. It will be important to ensure your dog is responsive under voice control. Remember to bring fresh water and shade for your pet.
2. Jupiter Outdoor Center
For adventurous duos, the Jupiter Outdoor Center offers dog-friendly kayak and paddleboard rentals. Explore the scenic waterways together, but don’t forget a life vest for your dog.
3. Salty Dog Paddle
Salty Dog Paddle provides private pet-friendly paddleboarding lessons in the Intracoastal waters of Jupiter. Certifi ed instructors offer boards suitable for dogs and supply life jackets in all sizes. Private lessons are available at Harbourside Place Boat Docks or Coral Cove.
4. Dog-Friendly Restaurants
After a day of activities, you can dine at several dog-friendly restaurants in Jupiter. Options include U-Tiki Beach, Little Moir’s Food Shack, Tiki 52, and The Twisted Tuna, all of which welcome well-behaved dogs, in their outdoor seating areas.
Note: Prior to visiting these restaurants, it’s advisable to check their “current pet policies” as they may have changed.
